There is something about those stickers that makes me wonder if they were slapped on for fun, or in frustration? A million years ago I used to work for Waterstone's. I remember applying and removing those orange stickers from the fronts of books on a daily basis. I thought sticking them was dull, until the Head Ofice memo came round saying the stickers should all be neatly aligned...
